Tyson insists on most of the fee
Alexander KrasyukWBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder promoter Oleksandr Usyknamed the conditions that will help organize a unification battle with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury over the next three days.
“We have a good chance of making a deal. I am very optimistic. The only one who can hurt this fight is Fury. Usyk is very flexible, money has never been the main thing for him. He knows that with success in the ring comes money. My only concern is Tyson’s attitude.”
“If Fury is afraid of losing his popularity and his current status (and against Usyk he has a good chance of losing them), then he can insist on most of the fee to justify his risk. Perhaps for him this is the most risky fight in his career. But deep down I believe that he has the heart of a warrior, he will accept the conditions and will not go around in circles. In this case, we will be able to agree on this fight within the next three days.
Fury and Usyk plan to hold a face-to-face fight for the title of absolute world champion on April 29 in London at Wembley Stadium. Fury’s promoters are urging the Ukrainian to fight in London, as the stadium in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) does not have time to build by the date of the fight.
It was previously reported that Tyson’s side had also held talks with Deontay Wilder. Fury is ready to fight at Wembley with an American boxer in the event of a breakdown in the fight with Alexander Usyk.
