Alexandra Savicheva won her first fight in the ONE League

Alexandra Savicheva, nine-time Russian kudo champion, won her first fight in the ONE Asian Championship. She defeated her Indian opponent, Zeba Bano, the Indian kickboxing champion.

The 24-year-old Rat team representative won the first round by technical knockout at around 3 minutes 39 seconds.

The fight took place under the rules of MMA in the ONE strawweight (up to 56.7 kg) during the ONE Friday Fights 5 tournament at Lumpini Stadium in Bangkok.

So, Savicheva continues on a winning streak – since beginning her transition to MMA last year, she has already won three and is still undefeated, which solidifies her position in the ONE Championship league. By her own admission, Savicheva, her goal is the ONE championship belt, and on February 17, she took the first step in that direction.

“I always aim to win the fight sooner than expected,” Savicheva said in an interview with ONE. – During the preparation in Thailand, the coach and I worked on chips and signature shots. Of course, trying to win in advance at any cost is not an end in itself, but it was a maximum program for a fight. I was going to master the punching technique and get into wrestling. A lot of people underestimate a drummer’s fight, but I wanted to show it.

For an Indian athlete, it was the second game in the ONE Championship league. In the first fight in May 2022, she lost by submission in the second minute of the first round to her Thai opponent Nat Yarunsak. After the meeting with Savicheva, Zeba Bano’s record is 6 wins and 2 losses, both of which occurred in ONE. Such stats may raise questions about his future position in Asia’s biggest martial arts league.
