Down-the-line.com/MMA. Eugene Berman, trainer of Australian MMA fighter, UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, criticized the athlete’s behavior during the fight with Russian Islam Makhachev. According to Berman, Volkanovski was overconfident.

“During the fight, Alex looked at the people in the front row and exchanged phrases with them. In my opinion, he was too confident. At such moments, Makhachev took advantage of Alex’s relaxation. For example, at some point, Islam was successful in closing the triangle at a high level,” Berman said as quoted by Sportskeeda.

Makhachev and Volkanovski have agreed on a rematch in Abu Dhabi

Recall that Makhachev won by unanimous decision and defended the lightweight championship belt.
