Vasily noted the mind and dimensions of the British world champion
Former world champion in three weight divisions Vasily Lomachenko shared his opinion about a possible duel Oleksandr Usyk And Tyson Fury for the title of absolute heavyweight champion. He noted that the outcome of the fight can be affected by different dimensions of the boxers.
“Of course, it will not be easy, but we need to wait for this fight. It will be very, very difficult for both of them. Of course, I root for my friend Alexander, but I don’t know how this fight will go, because they have different dimensions, and besides, Tyson Fury is very smart. Fury’s size is his advantage,” Lomachenko said.
“It all depends on what strategy Usyk uses and how he prepares for this fight. He needs to be very physically strong in this fight.”
Representatives of Usyk and Fury continue negotiations on holding a unification fight. At the same time, the Ukrainian side insists on the distribution of income “50:50”, given that Alexander owns three championship titles, and Tyson – one.
Fury and Usyk plan to hold a face-to-face fight for the title of absolute world champion on April 29 in London at Wembley Stadium. The promoters of the British are urging the Ukrainian to fight in London, since the stadium in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) is not built in time for the date of the fight.
Lomachenko has been in a training camp in the United States for several weeks now and is preparing for a fight with the undisputed world lightweight champion Devin Haney. The fight is expected to take place on May 20 in Las Vegas.
