“The head of the IBA, the Kremlin, has united the federations, and boycotts of the World Cup by some countries will not play a big role” – Olympic champion Batyrgaziev

President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlev gathered all the federations, and the boycotts of the world championships by certain countries will not play a big role, estimates the Olympic champion of Tokyo Albert Batyrgaziev.

The women’s boxing world championships will take place from March 15 to 26 in New Delhi (India). Tashkent will host the men’s tournament from May 1-14. The national teams of Russia and Belarus, according to the decision of the IBA, will perform at the championships with national symbols. The boycott of the competition had previously been announced by the national federations of several countries, including the United States, Finland, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Sweden.

– It will not play a very big role, Umar Nazarovich Kremlev has united all the federations, it is a very strong and strong core in the world now. All the federations follow a leader who wants to take our boxing to the world level, compete and be in parallel with football. I know the aims and objectives of the president of the International Boxing Association. In any case, we are still here, we will always support, – the correspondent reports Batyrgaziev’s words.

Live broadcasts of boxing evenings at tournaments in 2023 take place on the federal channel and thematic channels of the holding, as well as on the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
