The World Boxing Organization (WBO) has forced the undisputed world champion of the first American middleweight Jermell Charlo to defend his title in a fight against an Australian boxer of Russian descent. Tim Tszyu informs the official website of the organization.
It should be noted that the parties have until June 20 to agree on all the conditions for the upcoming fight.
In his last fight, Tszyu defeated American Terrell Gausha and defended the title of WBO world champion in the weight category up to 69.9 kg. For the 27-year-old son of former absolute world champion Kostya Tszyu, it was the first fight in the United States, before he fought exclusively in Australia. His professional record is 21 wins (15 by KO) and no losses.
The professional record of Charlo, 32, is 35 wins (19 by KO), 1 loss and 1 draw.
