The Australian lost to the American in the fight for four lightweight belts
Former Unified Lightweight World Champion George Kambosos commented on his defeat Devina Haney in the fight for the title of absolute champion.
The Aussie lost to Haney by unanimous decision, but is hoping for a rematch with the American.
“I landed a few punches, worked on the body, but he had a competent plan for the fight. He often grabbed me, held me and did what was necessary to win. You do what you have to do to win. Today, the decision of the judges was on his side, but everything will change when we meet again, ”Kambosos said.
“We will do it again. This will make me more hungry. I gave him a chance and I’m sure he’ll do the same for me.”
Kambosos lost to Haney the WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC (Franchise) championship belts, which he won last fall by defeating Teofimo Lopez.
