The Briton changed his coach after losing to the Ukrainian in the first match
Eddie Hearnpromoter of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshuaspoke about the cooperation of the British with the coach Robert Garciawho will prepare AJ for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
“Anthony visited many coaches, he spoke with many specialists. He was happy with the people in his corner, but he wanted to get a little more experience. Joshua went through this whole process alone and settled on Robert Garcia, who is one of the best coaches in the world,” Hearn said.
“People say that Robert just joined the training camp, but this is not true. Garcia has been here for a while. Perhaps Joshua felt that now was the time to tell the world about it. I sincerely believe Robert will be a great addition to his team and Anthony will win the Usyk fight.”
The rematch between Usyk and Joshua is scheduled to take place on July 23. The venue is to be Saudi Arabia.
Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become the new WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion.
