Jon Jones returned in the best possible way to the UFC octagons!

Jon Jones is the new UFC heavyweight champion. The former light heavyweight champion needed half of the first round to staple Cyryl Gane and define with a guillotine in the main event of UFC 285, held this morning in Las Vegas. The athlete had been away from the octagons for the last few years, but had a triumphant return and was entitled to win an important title for his career.

It is worth mentioning that the fight against Gane was not Bones’ first option. He had already made it clear that he would like to face another big name in the UFC and that would be Francis Ngannou. However, the Cameroonian did not want to continue in the Ultimate and relinquished the heavyweight belt. In this way, Ciryl was the only rival left for Jon Jones, and he didn’t have much work to come out with the victory in the first round of the fight.
