and the Russian Boxing Federation announce the start of the first boxing tournament among the country’s strongest boxers – the MATCH TV Victory Cup. The tournament will be held in four cities – Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Orenburg.
Athletes will form teams from six federal districts combined.
The fights will take place in five weight categories (60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg, 92 kg) in the professional boxing formula – 4 rounds of 3 minutes. Teams will meet in a round robin system.
Famous ambassadors of the tournament will be famous Russian boxers, Olympic champions and world champions among professionals – Alexander Povetkin, Oleg Saitov and Denis Lebedev.
Tournament schedule:
June 16-18 – St. Petersburg;
June 14-26 – Moscow;
July 1-3 – Kazan;
July 8-10 – St. Petersburg;
July 15-17 – Orenburg;
On July 30, the final of the tournament will take place on Red Square in Moscow.
