The British athlete was seriously injured in his last fight in the boxing ring.

The promoter of the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk Oleksandr Krasyuk shared his opinion about the possible duel between the Ukrainian and mandatory contender for the WBA belt Daniel Dubois.

According to the functionary, the Ukrainian may not enter the ring with the Briton, because he has a severe leg injury, which he received in December last year in a fight.

“Usyk will probably continue to fight the mandatory challenger. It should be a WBA fight. WBA next in line, but it all depends on Dubois’ health. The main thing is if he’s ready to fight. Remember his fight on the Fury undercard? He was serious injured.

I had the same injury. It took me over six months to recover. It’s been 5-7 years, but I still feel the pain in my knee after the operation,” Krasyuk said in an interview with the iFL TV channel on YouTube.

Earlier, Dubois announced when he would be ready to fight Usyk.
