2004 Olympic champion, former WBA regular champion and former WBC interim heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin speaking about the boxing performance of representatives of other types of martial arts, “” said that boxing has always been more prestigious.

Povetkin began his professional career on June 11, 2005, before the boxer won the Athens Olympics in the heavyweight division in 2004. As a professional, he became the WBA champion, boxed for the WBO titles and IBF. Povetkin announced his retirement in June 2021. He has won 36 times in the professional ring, lost three times and brought one fight to a draw.

– I always knew that boxing is even more prestigious. It is said that mixed martial arts have become more popular than boxing… To which I reply: “Look at the full stadiums in the USA, in Great Britain.
