The promoter of the Ukrainian world champion spoke about Oleksandr Usyk’s reaction to the failure of the rivalry with the British.

Usyk did not want to become a victim of Tyson Fury’s games, therefore, when he realized that the fight would not take place, he decided to stop negotiations. This is what the promoter of the owner of the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight belts Alexander Krasyuk said.

According to the functionary, his client was not disappointed by what happened, but rather tired, because he had been intensively preparing for the fight.

“Usyk didn’t fail. He was tired from everything that happened. Alexander stayed in the training camp for three months and worked hard. He needs a goal to motivate himself. And when there’s a roller coaster twice a day and the direction changes, you can you stay focused.

So at some point, Usyk realized that, most likely, the fight would not take place. Specifically, he came to this conclusion because he had read Tyson’s book. I’m not sure if Fury wrote this himself, but it says he’s used these tactics in the past to get over opponents’ heads. Therefore, Usyk is sure that this is one of Tyson’s tactics. He does not want to be a “victim” in a certain sense.

He realized that this had to be stopped, because there would be no fight. The sooner we stop, the less we lose,” Krasyuk said in an interview on the iD Boxing YouTube channel.

Earlier, Krasyuk said on whose initiative the negotiations on the Usyk-Fury fight were terminated.
