“Anthony Joshua hasn’t said it all in boxing yet” – Mark Petrovsky

2021 world champion, and now professional heavyweight boxer, Russian Mark Petrovsky, in a chat with on the eve of the fight between Anthony Joshua and American Jermain Franklin, said the Briton had yet to show his best in boxing.

The fight between Joshua and Franklin will take place on April 1 in London. Joshua is on a two-fight losing streak (both against Oleksandr Usyk). In September 2021, the Briton lost to Usyk via unanimous decision and lost the WBA, WBO, IBF heavyweight championship belts. In August 2022, Joshua again lost to Usyk, but this time by a separate judges decision.

– Not so often met the mention of the fight between Joshua and Franklin. We can say that this sign has not been deposited in my memory. I do not exclude that the United Kingdom has a completely different attitude towards this confrontation. I think Joshua will win. The Brit needs to get back on the winning track in order to reclaim the championship belts. I think Joshua hasn’t said it all in boxing yet, Petrovsky told .

The 33-year-old Briton has 24 wins (22 by KO) and three losses. Franklin, 29, has 21 wins (14 by knockout) and one loss.

Franklin was Joshua’s training partner at camp ahead of the Briton’s rematch with Andy Ruiz.

Boxing tournaments are broadcast live on the federal channel and the thematic channels of the holding, as well as on the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
