Vasily has a fight with Devin Haney ahead
Former world champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko considers himself an undefeated boxer. The Ukrainian expressed this opinion on the eve of the fight with the undisputed world lightweight champion Devin Haney.
“In my opinion, I have not lost a single fight in professional boxing. Therefore, I sleep very well. [Я] invincible? Yes. In my opinion, yes.”
The Lomachenko-Haney fight will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden and will be broadcast on PPV on ESPN+.
Lomachenko defeated American Jemaine Ortiz in his last fight. For the Ukrainian, this was the first and only fight for 10 months.
Last October, Haney defeated George Kambosos again to retain the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles.
It should be noted that Vasily suffered two defeats in his professional career. First, Lomachenko in March 2014 lost on points to the Mexican Orlando Salido.
The Ukrainian also lost to Teofimo Lopez in October 2020 by decision and lost his lightweight championship belts. After that, Lopez moved up to light welterweight and has no plans to return to the previous category.
