WBA forces Usyk to fight Dubois, sides must agree by May 2

The World Boxing Association (WBA) obliged the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk fight with Briton Daniel Dubois, according to the WBA’s Twitter page.

It should be noted that the parties must agree on the fight before May 2.

Usyk has WBA, IBF, WBO heavyweight championship belts. Due to the 36-year-old Ukrainian, 20 wins in 20 fights in the professional ring. Dubois is a regular WBA world champion, during his career the 25-year-old Briton has won 19 times with one loss.

Earlier, WBA chief Gilberto Mendoza confirmed the end of negotiations on a unification bout between Usyk and WBC world champion, Briton Tyson Fury.
