Dagestan police opened an investigation into the fact of a fight in the Makhachkala shopping center with the participation of a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Sharabutdin Magomedov, reported on the department’s Telegram channel.
The incident happened in March this year. Magomedov made a remark to a young man who was kissing a girl. At the end of the escalator, the young people began to sort things out, and the future victim punched Magomedov in the face. The fight was broken up by mall security guards, the participants decided to continue sorting things out on the street.
The events in the video took place on March 15, 2022. At the same time, the participants in the post-conflict events, which ended in a fight, came to an agreement, reconciled, none of them, as well as eyewitnesses, did not turn to the police. Moreover, their relatives made sure that apart from the eyewitnesses and the participants themselves, no one else knew about the incident in the future.
The next day they came to mall security and administration, asked to copy the video (for themselves) and remove all sources. Which, according to mall employees, was done. Who and for what purpose circulated the video after 3 months, if both parties reconciled and had no mutual claims? On this fact, an administrative procedure was initiated, in the framework of which a legal evaluation will be given to the actions of the two defendants, the report indicates.
The Interior Ministry notes that the actions of the two defendants fall under Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (petty hooliganism), violation of public order (in this case, a fight in a place audience).
