Russian promoter, responsible for AMC Fight Nights Kamil Hajiyev compared his league with the ACA and advised competitors to work on media fighters.
“It seems to me that the ACA Lightweight Grand Prix has remained niche entertainment. Go out to Moscow, ask if people have heard or not heard. Most will say they haven’t heard. You can’t say that Fight Nights fighters want to get promoted, but ASA fighters don’t. They’re the same guys. Lots still happening here and there. The league itself should change course and say, “Guys , step on the gas.” We say it.
Whether [вице-президент] Aslanbek Badaev was more actively involved in representing the ASA in the media, it seems to me that the ASA would grow in this regard. But there, respected adult men are at the head of the organization and, probably, they are already embarrassed somewhere to do what young people need, and Aslanbek could do it both beautifully and with dignity. Maybe if the ASA had relied on Aslanbek, its media coverage would have increased,” Hajiyev said.
Currently, the AMC Fight Nights and ACA leagues, as well as the RCC promotion, are considered the leaders of the Russian mixed martial arts industry.
