The Ukrainian ex-world light heavyweight champion spoke about his plans for the future.
Oleksandr Gvozdyk aims to once again box for a world title. The Ukrainian ex-world light heavyweight champion himself spoke about this in an interview with The Ring.
However, the athlete is focused on the result of the upcoming match against Richard Bolotniks. The meeting with the representative of Latvia should give the answer to whom Gvozdik will fight in the future.
“The goal is to beat Bolotnik in any case. If it’s a decision, then it’s good. If there’s an early victory, then why not? That’s good too. I’m not focusing on knocking him out. I just have to beat him when nice.Getting as little damage as possible is the goal.
I want to fight the top guys, but right now my only goal is the Bolotniks. In the last fight, I got rid of the rust, but I don’t think it matters because it’s not a big challenge, but this fight will be. Like the first real challenge. After this fight, we will decide who will fight next.
We know who the champions are now. Obviously, fighting them is my goal in the future,” said Gvozdyk.
Recall that Gvozdyk previously said that in the future he would like to get fights against Beterbiev and Bivol.
