“I left myself here all alone, I left my heart. I expected her to feel heavier than my other opponents, every pound counts in MMA. I expected there had a lot of struggle from her because she was constantly talking about it, but I was expecting a strike,” Shevchenko said after the fight.
The fight lasted all five rounds and ended with Shevchenko winning by split decision. Shevchenko defended the championship belt for the seventh time.
