UFC champion Makhachev explained how his weight changed after Ramadan

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion at Russian lightweight Islam Makhachev said “” that during the break between performances, he does not need to be in peak shape, and also called the current weight.

“USADA checks us all the time, regardless of the month. I just took the test a week ago. During Ramadan, I had an easy diet, I trained once a day, I gained some weight – now it’s around 83-84 kilograms.

– How do you rate the form now?

– There are no plans at the moment. I don’t need to be in shape. I can afford to relax a bit,” Makhachev told .

Makhachev defeated Australian Alexander Volkanovski in February and defended the UFC lightweight championship belt. The 31-year-old Russian has 24 wins and one loss in MMA.
