In a pre-fight press conference with Diego Lopez, Evloev said: “I believe if anyone can beat Alex Volkanovski then it’s me. Please give me a chance to fight him next year. I want to prove that I’m better than him in everything.”
On May 6, Evloev will face Brazilian fighter Diego Lopez at the UFC 288 mixed martial arts tournament. Evloev has 16 wins and no losses to his name.
Alex Volkanovski’s next fight is scheduled for July 8 at UFC 290 against Mexican fighter Yair Rodriguez.
