Ex-boxer hopes for peace at any cost
Former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Vladimir Klichko talked about options for ending the war.
“The war will not go on forever, it is impossible. With a clear economic isolation from Russia and support from Ukraine, this war will not last long. I am firmly convinced of this – if there is this support, ”Klitschko said.
“If Russia does not see that the whole world is against this war, then it will continue. But the world must rise to the front against this aggression and show that it does not agree with it. That’s the only way it will work.”
“The whole world hopes that this war will be stopped – by any means! It doesn’t matter because too many people suffer, including children. Up to a thousand children were wounded and killed in this war.”
Earlier, Wladimir Klitschko turned to the former absolute world champion Roy Jones, urging him to decide which side he is on.
Ukrainian resistance to Russian aggression continues for the 109th day.
