Fight of the current UFC champion in the bantamweight category Aljamain Sterling and former champion Henry Cejudo will be the main event of UFC 288 on May 6 in the United States.
The fight night will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, USA. The fight between Sterling and Cejudo will begin on May 7 in the early morning Moscow time.
Henry Cejudo last entered the octagon three years ago, in May 2020. Then the American won by technical knockout of Dominic Cruz. In total, Cejudo has 16 wins and two losses in professional mixed martial arts.
Aljamain Sterling defeated TJ Dillashaw last October to retain the title. The fight with Cejudo will be his third defense of the belt.
According to bookmakers, Cejudo is considered the favorite in the fight: the odds of his victory are 1.75, for Sterling’s victory – 2.13. The probability of a quick win for Cejudo is estimated at 3.54 and for Sterling at 4.15.
