The Russians did not win any medals at the World Judo Championships in Doha on Monday.
Iago Abuladze and Abrek Naguchev performed in the weight category up to 66 kg. Abuladze started with a win over Serdar Rakhimov of Turkmenistan, then beat Mukhriddin Tilovov (Uzbekistan) and in the third round lost to Denis Vier (Moldova).
Naguchev in the first round faced representative of Uzbekistan Sardor Nurillaev, then lost to Yongdonperenlein Baskh of Mongolia.
Alesya Kuznetsova (up to 52 kg) lost in the second round to Sumiya Iraoui from Morocco.
Russian athletes participate in the World Championships in the capital of Qatar in a neutral status. The tournament will run until May 14.
