Idigov, who competes in the weight category up to 67 kg, in the quarterfinals lost to 2021 World Championship bronze medalist, 2022 European runner-up Georgian Lasha Guruli by unanimous decision of the judges and lost his chance to win a tournament medal.
According to the decision of the International Boxing Association (IBA), Russian athletes participate in the tournament with national attributes.
