Athletistic/Boxing. In Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the quarter-finals of the men’s world boxing championship ended. Russian boxer Vsevolod Shumkov, successful in the weight category up to 60 kg, met with Uzbek boxer Muzhibillo Tursunov. The representative of Russia won by the decision of the judges.
The 2023 World Boxing Championship takes place in Tashkent from May 1 to 14. Russian boxers perform at the tournament under national symbols. The competition prize is $5.2 million. Contest winners will receive $200,000, silver medalists will receive $100,000 and bronze medalists will receive $50,000.
