President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Poutine congratulated the Russian judoka Arman Adamyan with a victory at the World Cup in Doha.
Adamyan on Friday won the gold medal of the world championship in the weight category up to 100 kg. This is the first medal for Russian athletes playing in neutral status at a tournament in Qatar.
“Dear Arman Azatovitch! From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you on your triumph. At the World Championships in Qatar, you convincingly confirmed your leadership qualities, demonstrated your character and willpower, and wrote a bright page in the victorious chronicle of the national judo school. I wish you new achievements and all the best,” the head of state said in a telegram posted on the Kremlin’s website.
