Former WBO middleweight boxing champion Dmitry Pirog expects the Russians to win in the upcoming 2023 World Boxing Championship men’s final.
The world championship will end on Sunday. On the last day, two Russians will enter the ring – Sharabutdin Ataev (up to 86 kg) and Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (up to 92 kg). Watch the fights with their participation in these minutes on the TV channel “Match! Fighter”.
– We are, of course, waiting for the gold medals. This is the main and most important thing. Accordingly, I would like to do without injuries. The whole team has a very big stage ahead of them. If all goes well, there will be the Olympic Games. And we understand that the world championship and the continental championship are a preparatory part, Dmitry Pirog told the championship.
Earlier, Russians Edmond Khudoyan (up to 48 kg), Vsevolod Shumkov (up to 60 kg), Dvali (up to 54 kg) and Imam Khataev (up to 80 kg) won bronze medals at the World’s Championships.
