Athletistic/Boxing. Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, the Mexican boxer who holds the undisputed world super middleweight title, has expressed his intention to have a rematch against Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol, who is still undefeated despite a ban imposed by the World Boxing Council (WBC).
Earlier, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said the organization would not support a rematch between Canelo and Bivol in the super middleweight division.
“We have several options. If the WBC does not approve the fight at the current weight class, we will consider another class or the possibility of staging a fight at wrestling weight,” TASS quotes Alvarez’s rep as saying.
