Three-time Bellator Champion Michael Chandler announced his desire to fight with the Russian UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev .
In the last UFC bout in February, Makhachev defeated Australian Alexander Volkanovski.

Chandler has 23 wins and eight losses in MMA, while Makhachev has 24 wins and one loss.
