Athletistic/Boxing. Legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr., former undisputed world champion, has spoken about his opinion on the upcoming fight between Vasily Lomachenko and Devin Haney, which will take place on the night of May 21.
“Yes, Lomachenko can go back in time, but he lacks explosive power. In the higher weight categories, it becomes more difficult for him. I became a heavyweight champion because of my explosive power. If you don’t have it not, so fight fighters, who are bigger than you, it will be difficult, otherwise, it is better not to enter the ring with these guys.
You must have either explosive strength or physical size. In Lomachenko’s case, he has to win a punching contest to beat Haney. Only then can he reduce the advantage of the opponent in terms of physical structure. Lomachenko doesn’t have that skill, so it will be a different fight for him,” Jones told ProBoxTV.
