Russian mixed martial artist Vladimir Mineev assumed the post of chairman of the Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia (ASSK), according to the official to place organizations.
On Saturday, Saransk hosted a congress of the ASSK, attended by 80 delegates representing 48 regional branches.
Mineev’s term is two years. Dina Averina, Olympic silver medalist in rhythmic gymnastics, was elected co-chair of the ACCC.
The 33-year-old MMA fighter’s last fight was under kickboxing rules in November last year, beating Fernando Rodriguez by knockout.
