Francis Ngannou is no longer part of the UFC’s roster of athletes, but his name is still mentioned by Dana White in his press conferences; fighter got angry
The weather between Ngannou It is Dana White warmed up again UFC. Even with the Cameroonian away from MMA and the franchise, he is still the target of criticism from the organization’s main leader. Last Saturday, the 20th, in a press conference, the businessman again criticized the former Ultimate Fighting heavyweight champion with some hints in relation to the agreement that was not sealed between the parties.
“The PFL will pay the guy to train for a boxing match that might not even happen and might not even involve them. How is this going to make sense? Francis could have gotten a deal here (…) The fans wanted it, so we did it. MMA fighters versus boxers is not something that makes sense to me, but I know he thinks he has all this money in it. I disagree“, White said at a press conference.

After Dana’s attack, Francis Ngnnou chose not to remain silent and used his social networks to hit his former boss. The Cameroonian took every part of the businessman’s interview to defend himself and pass on his version regarding the lack of agreement between the two parties in the UFC. According to the fighter, it’s hard to understand why White doesn’t stop talking about his departure from Ultimate.
“1. What’s your problem with me? I completed my contract, I was a free agent, and I opted out. you didn’t release me“, he wrote. Francis Ngannou still continued with his outburst: “2. Hate taking risks? Is this why I defended my title to fulfill my contract with no ACL (anterior cruciate ligament injury) or MCL (medial collateral knee ligament injury)?“Furthermore, Francis has hit back at criticism regarding his long period of inactivity while in the UFC.
“3. The reason I fought three times in three years is because you wanted to control my agreement and sign a new one. And exclude me. “I owe these guys three fights a year.” Isn’t that what you say? What happened? I always asked and never said no to any fight in the 3 years. I’m finally getting paid and respected, and I have a fair and equal deal for all parties. Why are you so against me being free and happy?“, continued.
Finally, Ngannou still left a question for Dana White regarding a possible fight against Jon Jones: “If you really want the Jon Jones fight to happen, contact Peter Murray (CEO of the PFL). Whenever, wherever. Who’s really scared? Jon, I… or you? $$$$“.
