Deputy of the State Duma and Olympic champion Svetlana Zhurova told that the former MMA fighter Jeff Monson spoke sincerely about his attitude towards Russia after returning his American passport.
Previously, the American-born Monson had asked to participate in elections to the parliament of Bashkortostan. Prior to that, he said he would like to become a State Duma deputy and renounce US citizenship due to US politics. On Tuesday, he told he had surrendered his US passport to the embassy and only had Russian citizenship.
