Vasily Lomachenko’s manager Egis Klimas sent letters to the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO, in which he announced the intention of the Ukrainian boxer’s team to contest the defeat in the fight with Devin Haney from the States -United. In the letters, Klimas also demands that Lomachenko become a mandatory contender for all four lightweight titles in order to set up a rematch.
Recall that the fight between Haney and Lomachenko took place on May 21 in Las Vegas (USA) and ended in victory for the American by unanimous decision (116-112, 115-113, 115-113).
This is the third defeat in the career of Vasily Lomachenko, 35. He previously lost to Teofimo Lopez of the United States and Orlando Salido of Mexico.
