The fight is scheduled to take place on August 12 in Wroclaw
Promoter Alexander Krasyuk said that the company K2 Promotions Ukraine became the winner of the bidding for the right to organize a fight between the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and applicant Daniel Dubois.
Usyk-Dubois fight is planned to take place on August 12 in Wroclaw, Poland. Previously, options for holding a championship fight in the UK and the Middle East were considered.
The WBA ordered Usyk to defend his title against Dubois. If the Briton is unable to take part in the fight due to an injury or for any other reason, the Ukrainian will be assigned a fight with the next opponent in the WBA rating. He is the former WBC world champion Deontay Wilder.
Usyk last fought in August 2022, defeating Anthony Joshua in a rematch by split decision. Dubois knocked out Kevin Lehren of South Africa in December 2022 and defended his WBA regular title.
