Details of the promotional bidding for the fight, which was won by K2 Promotions Ukraine, have been announced.
K2 Promotions Ukraine won the promotional bid for the championship fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. It will be remembered that the latter is the mandatory contender for the WBA title, which belongs to the Ukrainian.
After the auction, the fighters’ earnings for the upcoming fight were revealed.
According to an authoritative insider and journalist talkSPORT Michael Benson, K2 Promotions paid $8 million for the right to host the fight. Frank Warren’s promotional company, Queensberry Promotions, offered 5.6 million.
So, Usyk will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million, and Dubois will get 25% – $2 million.
Usyk’s promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk previously said that the Usyk-Dubois fight was planned to take place on August 12 in Wroclaw, Poland.
