The ASA League is interested in holding a fight between Russians Alexander Matmuratov and Yusuf Raisov and expects it to take place in 2023, organization chairman Alexei Yatsenko told .
Raisov and Matmuratov were scheduled to fight in the lightweight division as part of the main card of the ACA 158 tournament in St. Petersburg on June 2. But on Tuesday it became known that Raisov pulled out of the fight due to health reasons. The ACA 159 tournament will take place on June 16 in Sochi.
– Russian fighter Yusuf Raisov has pulled out of the fight against compatriot Alexander Matmuratov due to injury. Now the matchmaking is working hard to find a new opponent for Alexander, but rather already on June 16. We will do our best to ensure that the fight between Raisov and Matmuratov, which interests both the league and the fans, takes place. And preferably this year – after the recovery of Yusuf, – said Yatsenko, whose words “” were provided by the press service of the ASA.
Raisov is 27 years old, he has 20 wins and three losses in MMA. Matmuratov, 33, has 14 wins and five losses.
