MMA Union of Russia first vice-president Andrey Terentyev told that after a teenager died in an MMA tournament, a criminal case was brought against the head of the federation regional.

On Sunday, June 4, the athlete died at the age of 17 after a missed blow to the head during a tournament in Belogorsk (Amur region). The fighter died in intensive care, where he was taken straight out of the octagon unconscious.

– A criminal case has been opened against our boss. On our side, we have revoked the referee license of the referees. The Federation of the Region of Love is going to change its face, now a temporary worker is working there. We will organize a refereeing/training seminar, the dates have already been fixed. We flew to the funeral, paid all funeral expenses, offered our condolences. They created a big commission, Terentyev told .

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Amur Region opened a criminal case against the judge of the tournament, he is suspected of committing a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person due to negligence).
