Russian fighter Artem Vakhitov said on that he intends to continue competing in mixed martial arts, despite losing in his first fight, noting he was counting on more in the first fight.
Vakhitov lost to Egyptian Ashraf Bashandi at the Open FC 31 tournament in Sheregesh, the fight ended in the first round in the 55th second.
– Not such a start, it was expected – me and especially the team. Anything that doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, no one is immune to that. Maybe landed wrong. Maybe there was not enough experience in the “cage”.
These are all excuses. The training camp was excellent, the best fighters came from different regions of our country. We will only move forward, we will not stop there. The owner of the organization said that in the near future you can organize a rematch or have another fight. We are all for it,” Vakhitov said on the air of the program “All for the match!”.
Vakhitov is a former light heavyweight champion of the Glory kickboxing promotion (up to 95 kg).
