A prominent promoter spoke about a possible rematch for the absolute champion title.
The famous American promoter Bob Arum does not believe in a possible rematch between Devin Haney and Vasily Lomachenko.
According to the functionary, the absolute world lightweight champion was afraid of the Ukrainian boxer after the first fight.
At the same time, Arum promised to try to negotiate a duel between the fighters, paying the American the desired fee.
“It’s a very reasonable position, but I’m not going to talk about it now. I’m going to sit down with Haney’s father, who’s a friend of mine, and talk about it.
Haney should give Lomachenko a rematch because there was so much controversy in their fight in May. To me, Haney is scared to fight Vasily again,” Arum mentioned via FightHype.com.
We will remind, earlier the ex-world champion gave advice to Lomachenko after the defeat from Haney.
