Mineev on Gadzhiev’s comments on the next fight: “I’m not 100% sure that it will happen”

Russian mixed style fighter Vladimir Mineev said he was unsure whether to hold his next fight on September 15 at Elista, despite the corresponding statement from the head of AMC Fight Nights Kamila Gadzhieva .

During the weigh-in proceedings ahead of the AMC Fight Nights tournament in Ulyanovsk on Tuesday, Gadzhiev said Mineev would next fight in Elista on September 15.

Currently, Mineev holds the AMC Fight Nights Middleweight Championship belt. Mineev held his last MMA fight in October 2021, defeating Magomed Ismailov by technical knockout. In 2022, the fighter has fought under kickboxing rules twice, beating Erko Jun and Fernando Rodriguez. Since February this year, the 33-year-old fighter has been serving in the NVO area.

– It is clear that now you have much more important things than MMA. How immersed are you in the subject right now? How interested are you?

– I just learned from Kamil that I could fight in September. To be honest, it was more of a surprise to me. We talked about it, but to say that it’s going to happen 100%… Now I’m going to go talk to him, where does this confidence come from.

Indeed, where I serve, it is very difficult now. Probably, it will be possible to talk about this (fight) only after a while, when I return at least.

Basically, I only follow the MMA world through certain media, if certain information comes straight to my eyes, ” correspondent reports on Mineev’s comments.
