Originally from Ulyanovsk, mixed martial arts fighter Vladimir Mineev told of what fight on the streets of his hometown he remembered and why.
The 33-year-old currently holds the AMC Fight Nights Middleweight Championship.
– Can you tell us where in Ulyanovsk you had the most memorable fight?
– Fought on almost every street. But there is an intersection of Goncharov Street with Karl Marx, there is the Central Department Store, a cult place. I was 19-20 years old, I came from Moscow, after the first year of university. I bought myself fashionable things in a boutique. And right at that crossroads they had a fight with a friend, they thought there would be two of them, but there were six of them. We fought for 15 minutes at this intersection, even traffic stopped. It is surprising that the police stood nearby and did not intervene, they waited until everything was over,” the correspondent quoted Mineev as saying.
