Athletistic / Boxing. Gennady Golovkin has given up all of his world boxing titles. The last title was the IBO belt, which is the fifth most prestigious organization. Although this title is not required for absolute world champion status, many IBO champions do not have official challengers and are ranked by other organizations.

Former world champion Ramirez: ‘Golovkin just survived the fight with Canelo, he didn’t deserve this fight’

Golovkin held the IBO title for more than 12 years, starting with his victory in December 2011 after defeating Lajuan Simon. However, he technically lost it after losing to Canelo Alvarez in 2018. The belt didn’t go to Canelo as he refused to pay the penalty. Golovkin regained the vacant IBO belt in 2019 after beating Sergei Derevyanchenko.
