The gypsy king still can’t decide on an opponent
WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury said he was preparing for his next fight.
“I hope to announce a big fight very soon. Stay tuned. I work hard, I’m in the gym, I’m ready for the summer – I can say that I’m tightening my abs and muscles.
“But then again — it helped me 33 times in a row, so it doesn’t really matter. Stay tuned, important news is imminent.”
The WBC plans to nominate a mandatory challenger for Fury’s title soon. At the same time, WBC President Mauricio Suleiman stated that the possible rivals of the Gypsy King did not want to enter the ring against Tyson due to financial aspects.
Earlier, Tyson sent ex-world champion Anthony Joshua a draft contract for a duel at Wembley. However, AJ decided not to take the fight with Fury. The Gypsy King also negotiated with undefeated Australian Damsey McKean (22-0, 14 KOs) and IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaya.
Fury defeated Derek Chisora by TKO in his last fight. The Briton planned to have a unification fight with Oleksandr Usyk, but the Ukrainian pulled out of negotiations due to contract disagreements.
