In the first fight, the Ukrainian lost by decision of the judges
Ukrainian middleweight boxer Sergey Derevyanchenko (14-5, 10 KOs) continues to insist on a rematch with Jaime Munguia (42-0, 33 KOs). According to the Ukrainian, the Mexican promised him one more fight.
“I feel like I was robbed of my decision win against Golovkin and now against Munguia. Everyone says my fight on Saturday was the fight of the year. If I don’t get an immediate rematch, then the boxing system is broken. Munguya is a cool guy. He said he would give me a rematch with him. Let’s see if that happens,” Derevyanchenko said.
Derevyanchenko lost to Munguia by decision. According to the results of 12 rounds, all three judges gave the victory to the Mexican boxer – 115:112, 114:113, 114:113.
Sergei suffered his fifth defeat, and the fourth in the last five fights. The undefeated Munguia scored his 42nd win in the professional ring.
