Double world champion and 2020 Olympic silver medalist Muslim Gadzhimagomedov told that he may miss the Russian championship, and in August he will perform in the professional ring.
Gadzhimagomedov in mid-May won a gold medal at the World Championships in Tashkent in weight up to 92 kg and became a two-time world champion. In the quarterfinals of the tournament in the capital of Uzbekistan, Gadzhimagomedov was seriously injured in the leg. After the final, the boxer said he was considering withdrawing from the tournament. In the professional ring, Gadzhimagomedov’s official statistics include only one fight – in December 2021 he won an early victory. At the same time, the Russian held a large number of exhibition fights at the professional level. The Russian Championship will take place in August in Khabarovsk.
