All semi-finalists for the second season of the Victory Cup boxing tournament have been determined.
In the third quarter-final, Kavkaz team beat Tula with a score of 3–2. In the weight category up to 58 kg, Aigum Kazakmurzaev (Caucasus) beat Serge Voskanyan (Tula), in the weight category up to 65 kg, Pavel Fedorov, who plays for Tula, beat Nabi Yusupov.
Cheerav Ashalaev from the Kavkaz team (up to 73 kg) defeated Igor Sviridchenkov by unanimous decision of the judges, Beshto Shavlaev (Kavkaz, up to 80 kg) won by technical knockout over Garnik Gevorgyan, Svyatoslav Teterin (Tula, plus of 86 kg) defeated Magomedsultan Musaev.
In the final quarter-final showdown, Leningrad defeated Sibir – 4-1.
Vsevolod Shumkov (up to 58 kg, Leningrad) beat Nikita Burenkov, Ilya Popov (Leningrad) beat Nikita Kuksenkin (up to 65 kg).
Egor Shapochansky (Sibir, up to 73 kg) beat Pavel Sosulin, Ruslan Kolesnikov (Leningrad, up to 80 kg) beat Kantemir Kazhev.
Ivan Veryasov (Leningrad, over 86 kg) beat Aruj Mamedov earlier than expected.
Previously, the semi-finalists of the “Victory Cup” were the teams “Moscow” and “Kama”. In the semi-finals, “Moscow” will meet “Kama”, “Caucasus” – together with “Leningrad”, this stage is scheduled for July 8-9.
The Victory Cup takes place under the rules of professional boxing in five weight categories (under 58, under 65, under 73, under 80 and over 86 kg). The combat formula is four rounds of three minutes each. In case of equality of points on the notes of the referee in the fight, the victory is allotted to the boxer who was the best during the last round.
The Victory Cup prize fund will amount to 7.5 million rubles. For the victory, the team will receive three million rubles, for second place – two million, for third – one million. At the same time, for each victory, the boxer will receive 30,000 rubles.
The second stage of the Victory Cup was held within the framework of the SPIEF-2023 Sports Games.
