We thank the International Judo Federation (IJF) for this decision. We have a lot of positive things, unlike many other federations. Now they participate in the selection for the Olympics, but without a flag or an anthem. But when Tasoev received a medal, the whole world speaks of him as a Russian.
But we must also talk about the problems that have been revealed by this crisis situation. We must be united in everything. When this happened, many federations did not have a clear action plan. We did not understand: to participate or not to participate, these conditions are good or bad. We need to get answers in the discussion. This is a lack of interaction between the sports management of our country and representatives of intersport organizations. These are the people who should receive clearer advice. They must not be alone in their federations, they must defend the interests of Russia,” Soloveichik said during the Sovereignty in Sports session organized by the sports platform of the Roscongress Foundation, and the Russian Ministry of Sports. .
